Cooking classes with Ilaria

Hands in the dough.
Time around the table.

Tuscan family recipes, carefully chosen ingredients and the pleasure of making something together. In Quarazzana, by reservation, with or without an overnight stay.

The joy of learning together

An experience to choose

Learn a recipe.
Take home a story.

We begin with the ingredients: how to choose them, understand them and follow the seasons. Then we knead, talk, and sit down to enjoy what we have made.

The atmosphere is informal. Ilaria shares the stories behind the dishes, memories of her grandmother Natalina and introductions to Lunigiana’s producers.

From ingredient to table

The pleasure is in the making.

An outdoor cooking class

A family tradition

Grandmother’s recipes.
A living tradition.

Ilaria comes from the Bonini family, whose history is tied to the Dal Limone village shop and trattoria in Caselline, in the Florentine hills. She still cooks and teaches her grandmother Natalina’s recipes today, preserving their gestures and flavours. It begins with choosing ingredients and continues with the care of a table to share.

In Quarazzana, it began with the first dinners prepared by Elvira, Stefano’s mother. Guests’ wish to stay, cook and spend time together eventually grew into Ilaria’s classes.

Our story

Beyond the kitchen

Meet the place,
through its flavours.

When possible, an experience can include meeting small local producers, a farm visit or discovering local cheeses. We share where ingredients come from and where you can find them.

Visits depend on the season and the farms’ work. They are arranged in advance and are not automatically included in every class.

The experience spaces

A welcoming house,
with cooking at its heart.

The courtyard, professional kitchen and dining room belong to the experience area and the owners’ home. Access is independent from the guest accommodation.

Before you come

Do I need to stay at Quarazzana to join?

No. You can book just the experience and visit for the day. We confirm the programme, time, meeting point and price when you enquire.

How long is a class and what will we cook?

The duration, recipes and group size are agreed according to your chosen experience and the season. Tell us who is coming and what you would like to learn.

Can I mention dietary preferences or allergies?

Yes, please include them in your enquiry. We discuss them before confirming the activity to establish which dishes are possible.
