The Casale · 15th century
Preserve the character,
welcome new life.
Once the home of the Benedetti family, the Casale preserves sandstone portals marking changes from the 15th to the 19th century. Its careful restoration has retained the architecture and the feeling of entering a lived-in house.
The old oven recalls the weekly ritual of breadmaking. A stone staircase leads into the house; in the Casale kitchen, an 18th-century chestnut-wood partition still bears old markings. A serving window connects kitchen and dining room.
According to local historical tradition, Generoso Benedetti da Quarazzana, a man-at-arms in the service of the Sforza family, was born here. A coat of arms above the main entrance is associated with this story.

The cooking experience area
The professional kitchen, experience dining room, piano salon and other spaces used for cooking activities and the owners’ home form a separate area with independent entrances.
The landscape around us
The carefully tended garden and above-ground pool, set among flowers and aromatic herbs, look towards the Apuan Alps. A park with a small wood lies across the road that runs through the property.

The Casale kitchen
An equipped kitchen with an oven and dishwasher, for an unhurried breakfast, lunch at home or cooking together. Nocciolo and Romantica also have their own kitchen or kitchenette.
The dining room
A place to gather around the table, connected to the Casale kitchen by the old serving window. For the meals you prepare yourselves, in every season.
The piazzetta
Stone, sheltered corners and the pleasure of being outdoors: reading, talking or sharing dinner at the heart of the guest part of the property.
Music and reading
The first-floor music room and reading spaces offer time to enjoy indoors: a pause, a book, a conversation. The piano salon in the experience area is a separate room.
The garden and patio
A carefully tended garden, flowers and aromatic herbs, places to sit and an open view of the Apuan Alps. Staying at the hamlet can be a lovely plan in itself.
The pool and the view
The above-ground pool is set among greenery, with a patio for relaxing. It is for staying guests; opening dates are confirmed before booking.
