Borgo di Quarazzana is a special place nestled in the nature of the north of Tuscany. The hamlet is a charming place very relaxing, due to his position. The Borgo of Quarazzana is surrounded by nature, paths and natural waterfalls. From Quarazzana it is possible to visit the noble city of Fivizzano in 8 km and Verrucola castle, to immerse themself in medieval times. Fivizzano has a beautiful centre with original walls built by Medici (the same family that made the beauty of Florence). Dante, the famous writer, was also has passed by the area of Lunigiana and many tracks are visible. Fivizzano has also a nice market on Tuesdays.

Between Quarazzana and Fivizzano is possible to discover some special spots like Cotto ( beautiful church) and natural waterfalls ( Bozzi delle fate ).

3 km from Quarazzana you can also reach the little village of Agnino where you can reach a local bar very peculiar with old man's playing cards most of the time. Lovely place !

Another area lovely to visit is Equiterme where there are beautiful caves (better to book it in advance). In this area there is also a very healthy thermal water and hot springs, good for the body.

In this area there is also one of my food trip choices : go and search the focaccia of Alimentari Andreina ! Is a real experience to go there in Vinca ! If you don't mind driving on a curvy road , it's worth the trip !.

Quarazzana is also 40 min by National Park of Appennino Tosco Emiliano.

30 minutes from Bagnone and Pontremoli , medieval villages.
